With a history going back to the Roman invasions of the British Isles, it is considered the most traditional of British cheese. Besides this legendary origin, the way in which it is elaborated nowadays dates from the sixteenth Century, in the city of Cheddar, Somerset.

The Cheddar cheese from Estancia La Suerte faithfully follows the traditional British recipe, learned there from the very people who best know how to do it.
Its strong flavor and its peculiar consistency turn it into a cheese with a deep and delicious personality.

Maturity
It is covered with a cotton cloth and its maturity period takes between 5 months to 1 year.

A cheese of 20 kg. : 9 to 12 months (Expiration date: 18 months)
A cheese of 4,20 kg.: 4 to 6 months (Expiration date : 12 months)
A cheese of 800 gr. : 3 months (Expiration date : 6 months)
